Your tasks
Sales Process 
  • Gathering data from clients: Interacting with clients to gather necessary information for sales proposals and bids, including project specifications, requirements, and preferences.
  • Data management and processing: Organizing and processing the collected data to ensure accuracy and completeness for use in proposals and bids.
  • Application and further development of internal Business Development tools: Utilizing and improving internal tools (python, excel, SQL, etc.) for project dimensioning, case study analysis, data processing, financial modelling, etc., ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the preparation of proposals and quotations.
  • Analysis and presentation of results: Analyzing the gathered data and presenting the findings regarding technical, market, and economic considerations. This involves preparing reports, presentations, and visual aids to effectively communicate the proposal's value proposition.
  • Management of technical inputs in detailed feasibility studies: Collaborating with technical teams to provide input and expertise in detailed feasibility studies. 
Market Analysis:
  • Market monitoring: Keeping up-to-date with market developments and trends, focusing on client's pain points and solution landscape (competing technologies and business models, etc.), regulatory framework and socio-economic conditions (goals and instruments related to climate and energy policy, public acceptance issues, etc.). Suitable documentation and reporting to the team.
  • Market analysis: Development and regular update of market potential reports to establish the addressable market for LUMENION in target regions (focus on Iberia and the USA).
Your profile
  • Educational background: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Data Science. Additional qualifications or certifications in sales, project management, or renewable energy technologies are advantageous.
  • Experience: Proven experience in business development, or technical consulting in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar, wind, or energy storage sectors. Experience in preparing sales proposals and quotations, conducting market analyses, and bridging the commercial and technical aspects of projects is highly desirable.
  • Technical skills: 
    • Basic technical understanding of renewable energy and storage technologies. Proficiency in utilizing technical tools and software for project dimensioning, feasibility studies, and data management and processing. 
    • Familiarity with energy markets, infrastructure, regulations, and policies, especially in Europe and the USA.
    • Advanced programming skills, particularly in languages like Python, R, or MATLAB
  • Analytical skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data related to energy markets, project feasibility, and customer requirements. Experience in conducting market research, competitor analysis, and identifying market trends.
  • Communication skills: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and business proposals and quotations to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams. Proficiency in:
    • English 
    • German or Spanish or Portuguese
  • Team collaboration: Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and project management teams. Experience in managing technical inputs from diverse teams and facilitating communication between different stakeholders.
  • Customer focus: Customer-centric mindset with a focus on understanding customer needs, providing tailored solutions, and building long-term relationships. Ability to identify market opportunities, develop value propositions, and address customer concerns effectively.
  • Adaptability and initiative: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, customer requirements, and business priorities.
